Located in the heart of West Africa, between the Sahara desert and the forests of the south, Burkina Faso is a low-income landlocked country with a population of 20 Million people (ranked 144th among 157 countries in the new human capital index established by the World Bank).
Burkina Faso has reached a devastating crescendo as one of the largest growing humanitarian disasters in 2021. Over one million people have been forced to flee the comfort of their homes in order to protect their lives from terrorist attacks perpetrated by extremist Islamist groups.
